Tennis Ireland would like to welcome Jean Barr to our Development Team.

Jean will work at Increasing participation in our sport through the delivery of our key development projects in clubs, parks, schools and communities in general as well as players with disability in Enjoy Tennis programnes in the Region.

Jean coached tennis for 20 years at Sligo tennis club and worked as the head coach and administrator for the club’s coaching programmes.

Jean has also many years experience working with Enjoy Tennis players in the region, and she succeeds the very capable Jean Barr who worked as our Development Officer in the Region for many years.

Olwyn, however, will remain as the Coordinator for the Tennis Ireland Club School Link Project and has taken up an additional role for the NGB as our Access Tennis Coordinator.

The position will involve the implementation of social and competitive tennis on community courts in areas where there are no tennis programmes currently running.

The very best of luck to both Jean & Olwyn in their endeavours to increase participation in our great sport!
