Welcoming all Irish and International players across sight categories B1–B4 to Shankill Tennis Club, Dublin.

Day 1 — Saturday 2nd May 2026 B1 Tournament + Junior VI Event
Day 2 — Sunday 3rd May 2026 B2–B4 Tournament

We are delighted to invite players from Ireland and around the world to compete at the 2026 Irish National Blind/VI Championships. The tournament is open to all sight categories B1–B4, with separate male and female competitions subject to sufficient numbers.

Practice times are available on Saturday evening for B2–B4 players.

Sight Classification & Medical Diagnostic Form

Players must hold a current sight classification or submit a Medical Diagnostic Form (MDF) by 26th April 2026.

Novice Players & Juniors

First Tournament?

We have a dedicated section for novice players attending their first tournament, with volunteer support to help you understand the game before your matches.

Junior VI Tennis Event

A fun junior VI tennis event takes place on Saturday afternoon — all senior players are warmly invited to join in!

Dog Support Team

Our specialist dog support team will be on hand to look after the important hounds throughout the event.

Players will be supported by a dedicated team of volunteers throughout the event.

Shankill Tennis Club features a purpose-built indoor tennis centre with three cushioned acrylic courts and a viewing balcony. It hosted the 2017 dlr Takei IBTA World Championships — making it one of the most experienced venues in international blind tennis.
