Tennis Ireland is inviting clubs to submit their applications to host a tournament in the 2027 season, following a brilliant 2026 for domestic competition.
Huge credit to our Competitions team, who have delivered an outstanding calendar this year. Between Senior, Junior and Masters events, 291 domestic tournaments have been run so far in 2026, hosted right across the country by 91 clubs for Senior events, 79 clubs for Junior events and 20 clubs for Masters events. Massive congratulations to St Anne’s Waterford, who hosted more domestic events than any other club this year, an incredible 13 in total.
Entries have been strong all season, with some standout numbers: Lansdowne’s Senior event drew 533 players, Carrickmines’ Junior U10 attracted 104 players, Templeogue’s Junior T1250 brought in 263 players, and Nenagh’s Masters event saw 261 players take part.
And there’s more to come, with 3 Senior, 16 Junior and 6 Masters events still to be played before the year is out.
A fantastic year for domestic tennis, and a brilliant platform to build on for 2027. Clubs can now apply to host a Junior, Senior or Masters tournament next year. The application window closes on Wednesday 30th September 2026 at 11am.
Any questions on the application process should be directed to Neil Hanlon at neil.hanlon@tennisireland.ie.
