Irish Masters Set to Represent at ITF World Team Championships

Tennis Ireland is proud to announce that players from 23 clubs across Ireland will be travelling to Antalya, Turkey, to represent Ireland in the ITF World Team Masters 30, 35, 40, and 45 World Team Championships.

These dedicated players have earned their place through strong performances in national tournaments throughout 2024, demonstrating their commitment, skill, and passion for the sport. As they prepare to compete on the international stage, they will also be making history as the first Masters group to wear the new Adidas-branded Tennis Ireland gear.

Preparation has been key, with most teams already gathering for training sessions at various clubs. Their captains have played a crucial role in keeping everyone informed, organised, and ready for the challenge ahead—huge thanks to them for their dedication and leadership!

Supporting Our Players

Competing at this level requires significant personal investment, with players covering their own travel, accommodation, and gear costs. While Tennis Ireland, under the leadership of CEO Kevin Quinn and the HQ team, has worked hard to secure branded gear at a reasonable cost, the financial burden remains considerable.

Recognising this, some clubs have already stepped up, organising fundraising events such as fun days and coffee mornings to support their players. The Tennis Ireland Masters Committee greatly appreciates these efforts and encourages more clubs to consider similar initiatives to assist their representatives.

Every contribution, big or small, helps to ensure that our players can focus on their performance and proudly represent Ireland on the world stage. Let’s rally behind them as they take on this exciting challenge!

Stay tuned for updates as our Masters teams embark on their journey to Turkey—best of luck to all involved!
