Tennis Ireland appoints Kevin Quinn as Chief Executive Officer

Tennis Ireland is pleased to announce today the appointment of Kevin Quinn as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Kevin will take up his role on March 27th 2023.

A Masters graduate of TU Dublin, Kevin has a wealth of experience in the sports and entertainment sectors, having worked for over 25 years with significant sporting organisations across Europe. Kevin will join Tennis Ireland from Leinster Rugby, Ireland’s most successful rugby club in both domestic and European competitions. As Leinster Rugby’s Head of Commercial & Marketing, Kevin has been responsible for planning, developing and implementing Leinster Rugby’s commercial strategy, and supporting and accelerating rugby growth throughout the 12 counties of Leinster. Kevin is responsible for all commercial, communications, marketing, sponsorship and brand activities that generate  Leinster Rugby’s commercial revenues. During his tenure, Kevin has played a central role in growing the sport of rugby, improving the fan experience and developing key revenue streams to record levels for re-investment into rugby in Leinster.

Chairperson of Tennis Ireland, David O’Beirne, welcoming the appointment said, “Following a rigorous search process, we are delighted that Kevin has agreed to join us as our new Chief Executive Officer. Kevin brings with him a wealth of experience in the Sport and Business sectors which we are confident will be instrumental in helping drive the growth of tennis across Ireland. The Board and I welcome Kevin and look forward to working with him to meet the goals and ambitions of Tennis Ireland.”

Kevin Quinn said “I would like to thank Tennis Ireland for their trust and confidence in appointing me as their new CEO. I have had a brilliant five years with Leinster Rugby but I am excited by the challenge and opportunity ahead, to be joining Tennis Ireland as CEO at a time when tennis has become Ireland’s fourth most popular sport. I am very much looking forward to meeting and working with the Board, staff, provincial councils, volunteers and the many other important stakeholders to sustain and grow the sport of tennis at all levels in every province of Ireland.”
