Tennis Ireland announce new Junior International Selection Policy ahead of Summer Season

Tennis Ireland is introducing a new Junior International Selection Policy for 2025. This policy will come into effect from May 2025 for junior events including:

Winter Cups

Summer Cups

European Championships

Junior Four Nations

Events entered and selection dates for each age group are also included in the new policy.

Ireland is hosting 17 international tournaments in 2025. These tournaments continue to provide ample opportunities for juniors in Ireland to compete on the Tennis Europe and ITF tours, gaining international ranking points on home soil. Irish players have made the most of their home advantage with 8 tournament wins so far this year between both singles and doubles, including a total of 10 players winning titles.

The summer season will continue to provide more opportunities and support for Juniors with a full schedule of international tournaments both home and abroad as Tennis Ireland has entered 12&U Summer Cups and will be entering the European Championships at 14&U, 16&U and 18&U.

Ireland will also compete in the Junior Four Nations in September which takes place in the UK (venue is TBC).
