Belfast native Freddy Murray has been added to the Ireland Davis Cup squad for the Europe Group III competition in Chisinau (10-13 June) following a change to the originally announced lineup.
The 22-year-old has represented Ireland in Davis Cup since 2023 and has won both of his singles rubbers to date, including a straight-sets victory over El Salvador on his debut in September 2023 in World Group II. Murray competes collegiately for Middle Tennessee State University, where he has been named to the All-Big South Conference First Team in singles for two consecutive years.
Ireland’s squad for Chisinau is: Peter Buldorini, Conor Gannon, Charlie Barry and Freddy Murray.
The matches will be available to stream on the Tennis Ireland YouTube channel.
