It’s time to sign up! In collaboration with Vision Sports Ireland and Dun-Laoghaire-Rathdown Sports Partnership, the 2026 Irish National Blind/VI Tennis Championships are coming to Shankill Tennis Club, Dublin on 2nd & 3rd May — and we want to see as many players as possible on court.
Open to all Irish and international players across categories B1–B4, this is your chance to compete on the world stage right here at home. The tournament is IBTA sanctioned at Tier 4, with 200 world ranking points up for grabs.
The Format: B1 players compete on Saturday 2nd May, with B2–B4 categories taking over on Sunday 3rd May. Practice time is available on Saturday evening for B2–B4 players, and separate male and female draws will run subject to numbers.
Never Competed Before? Come Anyway! There’s a dedicated novice section for first-time competitors, with volunteer support before your matches so you can hit the ground running. There’s also a junior VI tennis event on Saturday afternoon — all senior players are invited to join in!
A Venue That Knows How to Host Shankill Tennis Club is home to three cushioned acrylic indoor courts and previously hosted the 2017 IBTA World Championships. Add the famous Shankill catering to the mix and you’re in for a serious weekend.
How to Enter Register before 1st May at the link below. If you don’t hold a current sight classification, your Medical Diagnostic Form must be submitted by 26th April — download it from the event page.
