Applications for the 2026 Community Sports Facilities Fund (CSFF) are now open, giving tennis clubs across Ireland the chance to secure government funding for new facilities and equipment.
The fund, previously known as the Sports Capital and Equipment Programme, supports the development of sports facilities and the purchase of non-personal sports equipment. For tennis clubs, that could mean court resurfacing, new floodlights, clubhouse improvements, fencing, nets and posts, or other equipment that helps more people get on court.
Key dates
Registrations opened: 28 September 2026- Applications opened: 19 October 2026
- Applications close: 5pm, Friday 26 February 2027
Who can apply?
All voluntary, not-for-profit sports clubs are eligible, along with community groups, national governing bodies and local authorities. For equipment-only applications, your club does not need to own its property.
How to apply
All applications are made through the OSCAR online portal. Clubs need to be registered on SPRAOI before applying, so if your club isn’t set up yet, make that your first step.
Full details, guidelines and the application portal are available on gov.ie:

Start early
Strong applications take time. Gathering quotes, planning permission (where needed), proof of title or lease, and evidence of club need can all take longer than expected, so we’d encourage clubs to start preparing now rather than waiting until February.
