AerCap TI Junior Kids develops players with strong fundamentals and creates smart competitors through appropriate, age-matched competition.

Competition structure
Three tiers, one journey

Every player starts locally and progresses at their own pace. Coaches guide players on readiness to move between tiers.

Tier 1
Local Tour

Introduction to tennis competition. Fun, accessible, in your club. Mostly team-based with no serious scoring.

Tier 2
Regional Tour

First individual experience. Non-elimination, approx. 2 hours, in your region. Speak to your coach on readiness.

Tier 3
Road to Fitz

Compass draws with a winner. Green ball only. Qualifying events for the Fitz Finals at the Irish Junior Championship.

Road to Fitz Finals

The National Tour is the route to the Fitz Finals at the Irish Junior Championship. Six events, a hidden ranking, and the top 8 in each gender qualify.

Players compete at Regional Tour level, where provincial representatives select those who progress to the National Tour. The top 8 ranked players in each gender then earn their place at the Fitz Finals during the Irish Junior Championship.

Rankings are not published during the season. Players compete without seeing the standings, keeping the focus on development and enjoyment rather than league position.

Ready to move up? Earn your passport.

The player passport allows players who have mastered their current ball colour to compete in the age group above, through a structured assessment process.

Players must go through all steps above to achieve a passport.

Once passported, players cannot play events at their previous ball colour unless advised by the TI Junior Kids coaching team.

Players passported from green to yellow ball cannot play Tour 100 events.
