We are excited to launch the Leinster Tennis Mini BALLERZ Programme, specifically tailored for children aged between 5-8years old who are just beginning their tennis journey. In anticipation of the opening of the new Dundalk indoor tennis arena, we will be hosting a series of start-up programmes for junior players at DKIT College, Dundalk. This four week programme offers young players the opportunity to learn the basic fundamentals of tennis in a fun and engaging environment, guided by professional Tennis Ireland licensed coaches.

JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT
Schools & Community Outreach Programmes
Our Schools & Community Outreach Programmes aim to promote tennis through free clinics, equipment loans, and tournaments. These initiatives are designed to foster teamwork and physical activity, making tennis accessible to everyone in our community.
DTA Junior KIDS Programmes
Perfect for young players starting their tennis journey, our DTA Junior KIDS Programs are divided into age-specific categories:
- Blue (4-5 years old)
- Red (6-7 years old)
- Orange (8-9 years old)
- Green Ball (10-11 years old)
DTA Junior Performance KIDS Programmes
This specialiSed program is for players aged 8-10 years old who are currently competing in local junior tours such as TI Kids or Leinster tennis competition Tour events. Admission is by application only.
Junior Development U12 – U16 Programmes
Tailored for players who are either starting out or have some experience, these programs focus on skill enhancement and increasing the player’s level throughout the training blocks.
Junior High-Performance Programmes
Designed for young athletes aged 11-18 years old who are competing in Tennis Ireland tour, provincial, national, and international tennis championships. Admission is by application only.
Dundalk Tennis Arena, developed under the guidance of local Davis Cup professional John McGahon, serves as a key facility for promoting tennis in the region. Through his leadership, McGahon continues to inspire the next generation of tennis players, emphasising the importance of sportsmanship, skill development, and a love for the game.
