Julie Byrne wins Riga ITF

What an uplifting result from Julie Byrne last week after she won the singles title at the ITF event in RIGA, Latvia.  Following a great round up of matches, Julie overcame the number 2 seed, Angelika Shapovalova, 62 62 in the semifinal.  Julie played a three setter in the final to secure the singles title against opponent Lila Humaloja from Finland, 75 57 62.  This is a great win for Julie and deservedly so after such hard work and commitment to her tennis training.  Julie’s ITF profile can be found here:  http://tinyurl.com/qxja6h4 and a link to the Riga draw is here: http://tinyurl.com/mhwseo9

Congratulations Julie!
