24 Jun Boys and Girls 14&U Summer Cups – June 2022
Summer is set to be a busy season for Irish Juniors with the increased number of home international tournaments as well as the return of the European Summer Cups and European Championships.
The Summer Cups get underway this weekend with Boys and Girls 14&U teams in action.
Teams were selected based on National Rankings and they will each play a preliminary round, hopeful of reaching the qualifying group which will commence on Sunday 26th June.
14&U Boys:

The 14&U Boys Summer Cup group will take place in Valencia, Spain where Ireland will play one tie in the preliminary on Saturday 25th June against Norway, in the hope of progressing to the qualifying group and the final round.

Andorra, Ireland, Luxembourg and Norway
If Ireland win their tie they will progress to the qualifying round with the following nations:
Croatia, Greece, Romania, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden
14&U Girls:

The 14&U Girls Summer Cup group will take place in Rakovnik, Czech Republic where the team will also play one tie in the preliminary on Saturday 25th June against Montenegro in the hope of progressing to the qualifying group and final round as well.

If Ireland win their tie they will progress to the qualifying round with the following nations:
Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Israel, Serbia and Switzerland
The draw for the preliminary round takes place on Friday 24th June for both teams.
Tennis Ireland is delighted to be part of the Summer Cups this year after COVID-19 impacted international travel in 2020 and 2021 and we would like to congratulate the players on their well deserved selection and we wish all the players and the Captains the best of luck over the coming days.
