Calling all Clubs & Coaches,
You are invited to rally behind a brilliant fundraising campaign called ‘Tennis 4 Cancer’ which is all about having lots of fun whilst raising money for two very important cancer charities! You can get your tennis club involved by organising a range of different activities from coffee mornings to grand slam tournaments. All proceeds go directly to ARC Cancer Support Centres and the National Breast Cancer Research Institute.
Since 2018, local tennis clubs from all over the country have dug deep and raised a staggering €90,000.00 by organising a range of different activities from coffee mornings to grand slam tournaments. You can get your tennis club involved by organising a fundraising event of your choice. This year we want to put an emphasis on FAMILY PLAY – as never before has tennis been so popular with families and we know that so many families in Ireland have been affected by cancer.
Sadly 1 in 2 people in Ireland will develop cancer during their lifetime. In Ireland more than 40,000 new cases of cancer or related tumours are diagnosed each year and this figure is set to rise.
T4C was established after a number of people in the tennis community had been affected by cancer. Over 30 clubs are now involved with the hope of doubling the amount of clubs participating this year.
