03 Oct Tennis Ireland Announce Category Exclusive Partnership with All Sports Recruitment
As part the development of our new commercial and performance strategies, Tennis Ireland is delighted to announce a partnership with All Sports Recruitment.
This partnership will facilitate Irish players looking to take the next step into the prestigious US College tennis scene as well as placement into universities all over the world including the very competitive British University system. ASR is headed up by Mark Finnegan, a well-known presence in Irish tennis and someone with considerable expertise and experience on both sides of the Atlantic. Tennis Ireland investigated various partner options for this element of our operations and are confident that the selection of ASR will enable our leading players to take the next step in their tennis career with great confidence.
Speaking of the announcement, Garrett Barry, Tennis Ireland National Performance Coordinator said:
“While travel overseas at the moment is difficult, we are looking to build a long term strategy that maximises the potential for our leading players. We understand the importance of third level education and how it can help student athletes create opportunities for their tennis and academics futures. The International College Tennis route is a well-known pathway to professional and high-level tennis. We firmly believe Mark is the best person to help our leading athletes achieve their potential and goals. Our two organisations objectives are perfectly aligned, and we look forward to a mutually beneficial partnership going forward.”
“ASR is delighted to partner with the national governing body for our sport. I am very passionate about helping our athletes achieve their goals on court and also in relation to their academic careers. I have played college tennis, recruited Irish athletes as the college coach and now I am excited to be helping the Irish athlete get recruited through ASR. I am really looking forward to working with the Tennis Ireland team and to seeing our participation numbers increase in high performance tennis”.
