Tennis Ireland and Lansdowne Lawn Tennis Club will play host to 96 players from Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales as Tennis Ireland host The 2018 Super Seniors Four Nations Championships.

The tournament which is being supported by Dublin City Council is a combined annual international tennis tournament where players compete in the over 55, 60 and 65 year categories.

2018 is Ireland’s turn to host this prestigious event and 96 players along with their families as well as over 20 officials will participate in the event which will take place in Lansdowne Tennis Club from May 4th – May 7th .

The event is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the ongoing strong relationship between the four countries and is the perfect showcase to demonstrate tennis as a sport for life.

Lansdowne Tennis Club is the perfect location for this event with its brand new clubhouse which will also host the official dinner on Sunday 6th.

Speaking about the event, Tennis Ireland Chief Executive, Richard Fahey said, “Tennis Ireland is delighted to be hosting the Four Nations Super Seniors this year. There is a great tradition of friendly rivalry between the four participating nations and I’m looking forward to seeing some great Tennis over the Bank Holiday Weekend. I have to credit Dublin City Council who have been very supportive of this event and who have been a long time supporter of Irish Tennis. I’d also like to thank Lansdowne Tennis Club for kindly agreeing to allow their great facilities to be utilised for the occasion. Hopefully, the Irish teams will be able to do its own version of the Grand Slam this year.”

If you are at a loose end over the bank holiday weekend, get down to Lansdowne LTC to watch some great tennis.
