03 Aug Drummy retains Belfast ITF title
Belfast city ITF at Windsor TC
The second ITF concluded on Friday last with another Irish girl’s winner. Georgia Drummy succeeded in defending her title from last year in defeating Jenny Timotin 6-2 6-4 in the final. It was a good week for the Irish girls overall with Anna Bowtell, Aoife Tonna Barthet, Lucy Octave also making it through to quarter finals
Jenny and Georgia teamed up to take the doubles title, beating the No 2 British pairing of Megan Davies & Maria Budin.
The Boys title was won by Spain’s Carles Sarrio Tamarit, he defeated fellow Spaniard Albert Roglan 6-4 6-2, and was also responsible for beating Sam Bothwell in the semi-finals.
The doubles was won by Sam Bothwell who partnered Alexander Carlos Parker of Great Britain to beat James Davis and Matthew Summers (GBR) 7-5 2-6 10-8
This week’s ITF moves to Dundalk TC.
