James McGee’s bid to advance to the main draw of the Australian Open next week came to a close this morning. He faced the 24 yr old home favourite Dane Proppagia who has an ATP ranking of 323. He lost on a scoreline of 6-3 6-4.The Australian was in form and has had some inpressive results of late.
There is still Irish interest remaining in the junior event where 17 year old Bjorn Thomson gets his campaign underway in the qualifying event which commences on the 21st January.
