07 Jan Sports Capital Programme 2014
A new €40 million fund for important sports capital projects has been announced by the Minister of State for Tourism and Sport Michael Ring.
The Sports Capital Programme is the main channel of Government support for developing sports facilities and purchasing sports equipment for sports clubs and organisations across Ireland.
The terms and conditions of the programme have been finalised and it will open for applications on 17th January 2014.
OSCAR
In order to apply for funding under the Sports Capital Programme, clubs and organisations must register through the new online system – OSCAR (Online Sports Capital Register).
OSCAR will also allow groups to view previous grants and payments, change contact details, seek payment of a grant and otherwise communicate with the Department online.
This will be the only way to apply for grants under any future rounds of the Sports Capital Programme.
In that regard I would urge all tennis clubs interested to register at www.sportscapitalogramme.ie
Applications for the 2014 programme will only be accepted online, and your Club must be registered in order to apply.
