Georgia Drummy reaches semi finals in France
Georgia Drummy of the BNP Paribas National Tennis Academy reached the semi finals of the girls singles at the Tennis Europe Bressuire 2012 last weekend in France. Bressuire is one of the most prestigious junior tournaments in Europe with past winners currently in the top 100 of the ATP and WTA circuits.
Georgia defeated Joanna Lesage of France in the quarterfinals on a scoreline 1-6 6-4 6-2 to earn a place in the semi finals. She was overcome in the semi finals 6-2 6-2 by the eventual winner of the tournament, Opheline Depoilly (FRA).
Also competing in France last week in the u12s were Eimear O’Neill (2nd rnd doubles , 1st round GS), Oisin Shaffrey (2nd rnd doubles, 1st round BS) and Robert McCollum (2nd rnd doubles , u12 consolation winner).
Conor McCabe (u11 colsolation winner), Zara Ryan and Charlie Barry competed in the u11s event in Bressuire.
