Amy Bowtell faced Martina Borecka (CZE) in the womens singles first round at the $25,000 Sunderland 2012 but was unfortunate to suffer a 3-6 6-2 6-4 defeat yesterday morning. Amy had a 6-4 6-4 win over Laura Deigman (GBR) in the final round of the qualifiers.
