Niland overcome by Darcis in Belgium
Conor Niland faced Steve Darcis of Belgium in the mens singles first round at the Ethias Trophy Challenger in Belgium yesterday evening in Mons but was overcome by the Belgian on a scoreline 6-1 7-6(6).
Niland had a 6-4 6-2 win over Mirza Basic (BIH) in the final round of the qualifiers and had a 7-6(4) 7-6(2) win over fellow Irishman Louk Sorensen in the second round at the weekend.
