Ireland’s Sam Barry has defeated no. 1 seed Daniel Evans (GBR) this morning in the second round of the mens singles on a fantastic scoreline of 6-2 6-1 to earn a place in the quarterfinals at the Great Britain F13 Futures 2011. Barry’s next challenge is no. 5 seeded Albano Olivetti (FRA) in the quarterfinals.

 

Also competing in Wrexham is Daniel Glancy. He will face Marcus Willis (GBR) in the second round today after a 6-2 6-2 win over James Silvester (GBR) in the first round yesterday.

 

Barry and Glancy have both qualified for the quarterfinals of the doubles event. Barry  / Marsalek (GBR) will play British duo Rise / Thornley while Glancy / Feaver (GBR) will play Beckles (GBR) / Hurst-Ross (GBR).
