Amy Bowtell in second round in Portugal
Amy Bowtell has advanced to the second round of the womens singles at the $10,000 Amarante 2011. Amy had a 6-2 6-3 win over no. 7 seeded Emma Flood (NOR) in the first round.
Amy also had a first round win in the doubles event. Amy and partner Yasmin Clarke (GBR) defeated De Wilde (BEL) / Moura (POR) 7-6(2) 6-2 to earn a place in the quarterfinals. Their next challenge is no.2 seeded Australian duo Billett / Filippos.
