Julie Byrne earns a place in main draw in TE Nottingham

Julie Byrne has qualified for the girls singles main draw at the AEGON Junior International Nottingham 2011 after a 6-3 6-2 win over Viktorija Demcenkova (LVA) in the final round of the qualifiers. Laura Reid advanced to the second round after a 6-0 6-0 win over Rose Leather (GBR) in the first round but was unfortunate to suffer a 6-2 6-2 defeat to Anna Popescu (GBR) in the final round of the qualifiers. Emily Beatty is also competing at this tournament and is scheduled to play later on this week.
