Pat Crowe appointed as Irish Fed Cup non-playing Captain

Tennis Ireland today announced the appointment of Pat Crowe as the Irish Fed Cup non-playing Captain for the period 2011 and 2012.

Pat is a Level 3 coach and has held the position of Tennis Ireland Director at Carrickmines Croquet and Lawn Tennis Club since 1993.

Pat has a wide range of experience in performance tennis in Ireland over many years and has previously acted as non-playing captain of Irish senior and junior teams in Four Nations Championships.
 
Pats first assignment in charge of an Irish Fed Cup team will be in Cairo week commencing 2nd May when Ireland take on countries such as Norway, Tunisia and South Africa. Following the recent political unrest in Egypt, the International Tennis Federation confirmed yesterday that the event will proceed as scheduled.
