Amy Bowtell qualifies for Womens Singles Main Draw in Portugal

Amy Bowtell has defeated Ghislaine Van Baal (NED) on a scoreline 6-7(4) 6-2 6-1 to advance to the womens singles main draw at the $10,000 Vale Do Lobo 2011 in Portugal. Her next challenge is Maria Palhoto (POR) in the first round of the main draw.

Julia Moriarty qualified for the third round of the womens singles qualifiers but was overcome by Samantha Murray (GBR) on a scoreline 6-3 6-4. Julia is also competing in the doubles event and has teamed up with Arabela Fernandez-Rabener (ESP). They will face Dutch duo Kerkhove / Van Der Sar in the first round.
