McGee advances to singles qualifiers finals in France

A number of Irish players have travelled to France this week for the ATP Open EuroEnergie de Quimper.

Mens Singles
James McGee has advanced to the final round of the mens singles qualifiers after a 6-3 6-0 win over Treat Conrad Huey (PHI) and will hope to overcome no. 2 seeded Kenny De Schepper (FRA) this afternoon for a place in the mens singles main draw.

Barry King was unfortunate to suffer a 4-6 6-4 6-4 defeat to no. 5 seeded Julien Dubail (BEL) in the second round of the mens singles qualifiers.

Conor Niland will play Sebastian Rieschick (GER) in the first round of the mens singles main draw.

Mens Doubles
James Cluskey and James McGee have teamed up for the doubles event and the Irish pair will face Henri Kontinen (FIN) / Sebastian Rieschick (GER) in the first round while Barry King has partnered Pierre-Hugues Herbert (FRA) and the duo will play Jamie Delgado / Jonathan Marray of Great Britain in the first round.
