Bowtell and Moriarty advance to third round of qualifiers in Portugal

Amy Bowtell and Jula Moriary have advanced to the third round of the womens singles at the $10,000 Vale Do Lobo 2011 in Portugal. No. 2 seeded Julia Moriarty had a 6-3 6-3 win over Anastasia Rudakova (RUS) to advance to the third round while Amy Bowtell defeated Soledad Calderon Arroyo (ESP) on a scoreline 6-3 6-0.

Last week, Amy Bowtell qualified for the quarterfinals of the womens singles at the $10,000 Coimbra 2011. She faced Kim-Alice Grajdek (GER) in the quarterfinals on Friday but was unfortunate to suffer a 6-4 7-6(1) defeat.
