Amy Bowtell qualifies for main draw in Portugal

Amy Bowtell has qualified for the womens singles main draw at the  $10,000 Coimbra 2011 tournament in Portugal. Amy had a 6-2 6-1 win over Marta Bertolaso (ITA) in the final round of the qualifiers to earn a place in the womens singles main draw. Amy will now play no. 3 seeded Constance Sibille (FRA) in the first round of the womens singles main draw while Julia Moriarty will play Ana Claro (POR) in the first round.

The Irish pair have teamed up for the doubles event and have overcome Portuguese duo Alvaro / Gaspar in the first round on a scoreline 6-1 6-0.
