King qualifies for main draw in Sheffield
Barry King has qualified for the mens singles main draw at the Great Britain F2 Futures 2011 after a 6-3 6-4 win over Ahmed El Menshawy (GBR) in the final round of the qualifiers.
Sam Barry was overcome by no. 1 seeded Harri Heliovaara (FIN) on a scoreline 3-3 retired while James Cluskey was unfortunate to suffer a 7-6(6) 6-1 defeat to Alexandre Penaud (FRA).
Barry King will face Vincent Stouff (FRA) in the first round of the mens singles main draw and Colin O’Brien’s first challenge will be no. 5 seeded Richard Bloomfield of Great Britain.
In the doubles event, James Cluskey and Barry King will face British duo Daniel Evans / Andre Fitzpatrick in the first round this afternoon.
