O’Brien and Glancy qualify for second round in Greece
Mens Singles Qualifiers
Sam Barry has qualified for a place in the mens singles main draw after a 7-6(1) 6-7(1) 6-3 win over Marc Stillitano (MON) in the final round of the qualifiers. Fabio Molle was also competing in the qualifiers but was unfortunate to suffer a 6-1 6-0 defeat to no. 6 seeded Joss Espasandin (SUI).
Mens Singles Main Draw
Colin O’Brien and Daniel Glancy have qualified for the second round of the mens singles after first round wins. O’Brien defeated Robert Rumler (CZE) on a scoreline 6-4 6-1 while Glancy overcame Gibril Diarra (AUT) on a scoreline 6-4 7-6(4). Sam Barry will play Jiri Kosler (CZE), no. 3 seeded James McGee will play Tom Kocevar-Desman (SLO) and Barry King will face Adrians Zguns (LAT) later on today.
Sam Barry and Colin O’Brien have advanced to the quarter finals after a 1-0 Retired scoreline over Czech duo Kosler / Prikryl in the first round while Daniel Glancy and partner Marcus Willis (GBR) defeated Liniger (SUI) / Sterland-Markovic (GBR) on a scoreline 4-6 6-3 [10-2] for a place in the quarter finals.
James McGee Results from Greece
James McGee failed to advance to the semi finals of the mens singles event at the Greece F2 Futures 2010 after a 2-1 retired defeat to no. 2 seeded Claudio Grassi (ITA).
Earlier last week, Barry King was unfortunate to suffer a 6-4 6-7(0) 6-1 defeat to Bastian Trinker (AUT) and Daniel Glancy was defeated 6-2 6-0 defeat by Tom Kocevar-Desman (SLO).
James McGee teamed up with Claudio Grassi (ITA) for the doubles event and the no. 1 seeded duo suffered a 6-4 6-3 defeat to Greek duo Economidis / Jakupovic in the semi finals.
