Holly Monahan in Quarterfinals in Belgium

Holly Monahan has advanced to the quarterfinals of the girls u16 singles of the Argayon Cup in Belgium after a 6-3 6-0 win over Ksenia Antonova (RUS) in the second round. No. 4 seeded Holly will now play Lea Schings later on today. In the doubles event, Holly has teamed up with Signe Lazdina (LAT) and the no. 1 seeded duo will play German pair Leila Heinz / Lea Schings in the first round.
 

In the u14 girls singles qualifiers Niamh O’Brien advanced to the second round after a 6-2 7-5 win over Juliette Bastin (GER) in the first round but was unfortunate to suffer a 6-1 7-5 defeat to Katharina Herpertz (GER) in the second round.
