Barry advances to second round in Austria

No. 9 seeded Sam Barry has advanced to the second round of the grade 1 ITF Junior Open 2010 in Austria after a 6-2 3-6 6-2 win over Karim Hossam(EGY) in the first round. Sam’s next challenge is Vaclav Safranek of the Czech Republic.

For the doubles event, Barry has teamed up with Ciaran Fitzgerald and they were unfortunate to suffer a 6-3 6-3 defeat in the first round to Brazilians Laranja / Monteiro.
