U14 Boys
In the doubles, Luke Maguire has teamed up with Jouke Jan Schaap. The duo suffered a 6-1 6-1 defeat to no. 1 seeds Daniel Burr (DEN)/ Alexander Zverev (GER) yesterday in the first round.
Luke Maguire was unfortunate to suffer a 6-4 6-1 defeat to Johannes Ingildsen (DEN) in the first round of the u14 boys singles main draw and Fraser McFall lost 6-2 6-4 to Oliver Michelsen (DEN).
U14 Girls
In the u14 girls singles, Nicola Drummy faced Mathilda Malm (SWE) in the second round but was unfortunate to suffer a defeat on a scoreline 6-2 6-4. Also competing the u14 girls event were Julie Byrne, Karola Patricia Bejenaru, Lucy Octave, Aisling O’Riordan and Emily Beatty.
In the girls doubles event, Aisling O’Riordan and partner Tessa Van Der Ploeg (NED) advanced to the quarterfinals after receiving a bye in the first round but were defeated 6-2 6-4 by no. 3 seeds Margaux Deagostini (SUI) / Natalie Syme (GBR). Julie Byrne and partner Patricia Boentgen (GER) suffered a 3-6 6-4 10-8 defeat to Vibe Baumann (DEN) / Frederikke Clem (DEN) and Karola Patricia Bejenaru / Nicola Drummy were defeated by Caroline Estrup (Den) / Emma Haakansson (DEN) on a scoreline 6-2 6-7(6) 10-7.
U16 Boys
In the u16 boys singles event, Peter Mimnagh Flemming was unfortunate to suffer a 6-2 6-2 defeat to no. 4 seed Daniel Loebel of Germany and Robert Dudley was defeated by Simeon Rossier on a scoreline 6-2 6-0. Both boys have teamed up for the doubles and suffered a 6-1 7-6(2) defeat in the second round to Danish duo Jonathan Hannestad/Andreas Brogaard Pedersen.
U16 Girls
Jane Fennelly suffered a 6-3 6-4 defeat to Kirsa Utech (GER) in the first round of the girls singles and is partnering Sandra Van Putten (NED) in the girls doubles event where they have advanced to the quarterfinals after a 6-2 6-2 win over German duo Isabel Busch / Nina Dillwald. Fennelly and Utech were defeated in the quarterfinals yesterday by Polish pair Diana Siemianowska/Karolina Snita on a scoreline 6-3 6-3.
