Conor Niland fails to advance in Roland Garros
Conor Niland and Julian Reister were the first to play this morning in the second round of the mens singles qualifiers of Roland Garros.
Niland fought hard but was eventually overcome by Reister on a scoreline 6-2 6-4. Reister is currently ranked 166 and achieved a place in the second round of the mens singles at the Biella Challenger in Italy last week and reached the final of the Kazan Challenger in Russia earlier in the year.
Niland recently won the mens singles at the Israel Open defeating number 4 seed Thiago Alves (BRA) 5-7 7-6(5) 6-3 in the final.
