Niland on the ATP Challenger Tour
Seventh-seeded Conor Niland was defeated by Roman Valent in the second round of the Abierto Internacional del Bicentenario in Leon, Mexico. Niland, no. 226, played a strong match, but was unfortunate to lose to Valent 6-4 7-6(3).
He remains in the ATP Challenger event in the doubles competition, where he is paired with Nima Roshan of Australia. The pair will face the top-seeded duo of Santiago Gonzalez of Mexico and Vasek Pospisil of Canada in quarterfinals.
