Ciaran Fitzgerald defeated Kyle Edmund in the second round before being knocked out in Marsa. After earning a first round bye, seventh seeded Fitzgerald was victorious over Edmund of Great Britain on a scoreline of 6-4 6-2 to advance to the third round. Fitzgerald was unfortunate to lose to the Italian Daniele Pepe 5-7 6-4 6-4 in the third.
 
Fitzgerald remains in competition in Malta in the doubles draw, partnered with Joe Mills of Great Britain as the second seed. The pair earned a first round bye before defeating the Turkish duo of Durukan Durmas and Cahit Kapukiran in the second round, 6-3 6-3. Fitzgerald/Mills will face the Swiss pair of Boris Greco and Tim Srkala in the quarterfinals.
 
In the girls’ singles, Sinead Lohan was knocked out in the second round by Abbi Melrose of Great Britain, falling to the fifth seeded Brit on a scoreline of 6-1 6-4. Lohan also competed in the doubles with Grainne O’Neill, but the pair was defeated by Federica Egidius of Norway and Karin Hoppler of Switzerland 3-6 7-5 [10-4] in the first round. Emily Madill was paired up with Kyria Dunford of Great Britain in the doubles, but the duo fell to Denise Konig and Stephanie Vogt of Germany 7-5 2-6 [10-8].
