John Morrissey has advanced to the quarterfinals in the Philippines’ tournament. Morrissey, the fifth seed, saw success against Kalle Averfalk of Sweden, whom he defeated on a scoreline of 6-1 1-6 6-0. Morrissey moves on to the American Dane Webb, 14th seed, in the quarterfinals.
 
Morrissey was also victorious in the doubles competition, where he teamed up with Alexander Rumyantsev of Russia to defeat Deen Heshaam of Malaysia and Kackhapanan of Thailand 6-4 6-2. The third seeded pair will face eighth seeded Robin Olin of Sweden and Matthias Wunner of Germany in the quarerfinals.
 
Sam Barry, although knocked out in the singles, has also advanced to the doubles’ quarterfinals. Barry, partnered with Ben McLachlan of New Zealand. was victorious over Shaun Berstein and Campbell Johnson, defeating the American pair 6-1 6-3. In the quarterfinals, the fourth seeded pair will take on fifth seeded Brandon Burke of Jamaica and Darian King of Barbados.
