Aivaras Balzekas Memorial Cup 2010: Bowtell in quarterfinals
Amy Bowtell defeated Ella Leivo (FIN) 6-1 6-3 in the second round of the girls singles at the Aivaras Balzekas Memorial Cup 2010 in Lithuania. In the first round, she had a 6-7(5) 6-4 6-2 win over Marta Hnatyshyn (UKR). Bowtell, who has been seeded no. 3 will now face Darya Lebesheva (BLR) in the quarter finals.
Girls Singles
Amy Bowtell was also competing in the doubles event. Bowtell and partner Bertasiute (LTU) suffered a 6-4 6-4 defeat to Russian duo Ayzatulina / Chernaya in the first round.
Girls Doubles
Sixteen year old Bowtell, currently ranked 206 reached the second round of the girls singles at the grade 1 Czech International Junior Indoor Championships in January and the final of the girls doubles at the grade 2 SFAX ITF Junior Tournament in Tunisia in February.
