ITF Indoor Almere 2010 Results: Ciaran Fitzgerald and Emily Madill

 Ciaran Fitzgerald and Emily Madill were competing in the Grade 4 ITF Indoor Almere 2010 in The Netherlands this week.
 
Ciaran Fitzgerald defeated Daniel Masur (GER) in the first round of the boys singles on a scoreline 3-6 6-3 6-4. He faced no. 3 seed Gijs Linders (NED) in the second round on Wednesday and was unfortunate to suffer a 6-3 6-3 defeat.
 
Fitzgerald was also competing in the doubles event partnering Francisco Diaz (POR). They had a 6-2 6-7(1) [10-7] win over Bosschaert (BEL) / Rancezot (FRA) in the first round but were defeated 7-5 6-2 by Monteban (NED) / Vereshchaga (RUS) in the quarterfinals.
 
Fitzgerald is currently ranked 377 and reached the quarterfinals of the mens singles at the Babalot National Indoors in December.

Emily Madill also had a win in her first round match. She defeated Pia Braun(GER) in the first round of the girls singles on a scoreline 6-3 6-0 but was defeated 6-3 6-2 by India Maggen (BEL) in the second round on Wednesday.
 
In the doubles, Emily Madill and Emma Devine (GBR) were defeated by (NED) / Werbrouck (BEL) in the first round on a scoreline 0-6 6-2 [10-6].
 
Madill is currently ranked 1254 and reached the semi final of the girls u.18 singles at the Babalot National Indoors in December.
