Eddie Herr International Junior Tennis Championships 2009: Results
Amy Bowtell, John Morrissey and Sam Barry travelled to Florida last week for the Eddie Herr International Junior Tennis Championships.
Boys Singles
John Morrissey was defeated in the third round of the boys singles on Thursday by no. 5 seed Mitchell Frank (USA) on a scoreline 6-2 2-6 6-3. Morrissey had a 6-3 6-1 win over Ivan Turudic (CRO) in the second round.
Sam Barry also competed in the boys singles but lost 6-3 6-2 to Hernus Pieters (RSA) in the second round.

Girls Singles
Amy Bowtell was defeated in the first round of the u.18 girls singles qualifying round earlier in the week by Santa Shumilina (RUS) on a scoreline 6-4 6-2.

All three players are competing in the Dunlop Orange Bowl this week.
Boys Doubles
Sam Barry and partner Ben McLachlan (NZL) advanced to the semifinals after defeating Carey (BAH)/Haessig (CAN) in the quarterfinals on a scoreline 6-4 6-4. Barry and McLachlan were defeated in the semifinals by no. 1 seeded duo Herbert (FRA) / Krawietz (GER) 6-0 6-1.
John Morrissey and Micke Kontinen (FIN) were defeated in the quarterfinals by Dzumhur (BIH)/Libietis (LAT) on a scoreline 6-3 3-6 [10-6]. Their opponents went on to reach the final of the boys doubles.
