Mens Doubles
Colin O’Brien and Rohan Gajjar (IND) took part in the finals of the mens doubles at the Malaysia F5 Futures this weekend. They were defeated by Siarhei Betau (BLR) / Dzmitry Zhyrmont (BLR) on a scoreline 6-4 6-3
O’Brien/Gajjar had a 6-0 6-2 win over Dmitriy Borodkin (KAZ) / Rynat Khusainov (KAZ) in the first round, a 6-4 4-6 [10-7] win over Huang (TPE) / Siriluethaiwattana (THA) in the quarterfinals and a 7-5 7-6(5) win over Malaysian duo Jaya / Si in the semi finals.
Barry King and James McGee were defeated in the first round on a scoreline 6-4 6-4 by Pirmin Haenle (GER) / Vivek Shokeen (IND).

Colin O’Brien was defeated in the second round of the mens singles by Kittiphong Wachiramanowong (THA) on a scoreline 7-6(4) 5-7 6-1. He had a 7-5 7-5 win over no. 4 seed Rohan Gajjar (IND) in the first round.
Matheson Klein (AUS) defeated James McGee (IRL) in the first round of the mens singles on a scoreline 4-6 6-4 6-1. Barry King was defeated 6-3 6-4 by no. 1 seed Vishnu Vardhan (IND).

O’Brien, King and McGee have stayed in Malaysia for a third week to compete in the Malaysia F6 Futures.

Colin O’ Brien has advanced to the second round of the mens singles after defeating Jaan-Frederik Brunken (GER) on a scoreline 6-4 6-2. James McGee also had a win in the first round. He defeated Ariez Elyaas Deen Heshaam (MAS) on a scoreline 6-2 6-1. Barry King will play Kittiphong Wachiramanowong (THA) in the first round.

Barry King and partner were defeated in the first round of the mens doubles by Koreans Cho and Kim on a scoreline 6-7(5) 7-6(4) [10-6]. GAJJAR (IND) / O’BRIEN (IRL) have advanced to the second round after having a 6-1 6-1 win over Sanchez (MEX) / Zainal (MAS). They will now play Siributwong (THA) / Siriluethaiwattana (THA) in the quarter final.
