Sam Barry in Third Round of Boys Singles in Mexico


Sam Barry has travelled to Merida, Mexico this week to take part in the Grade 1 Yucatan World Cup 2009.
 
He had a 7-6(3) 6-3 win over Filip Peliwo (CAN) in the second round yesterday and will now play no. 6 seed Romain Arneodo (FRA) in round three. Barry will be hoping for victory this time round as he was defeated by Arneodo 7-5 6-2 at the Airberlin German Juniors in July.
 
Boys Singles

 
Sam Barry is also competing in the doubles partnering Ben MacLachlan (NZL). They will play Santiago Munoz Quiroga (MEX) / Nik Razborsek (SLO) in the first round.
 
Boys Doubles

 
Sam Barry is currently ranked 120 and was winner of the boys singles at the 10th Torneig ITF Andorra La Vella in October. He also won the doubles at this tournament with partner Ciaran Fitzgerald.
