Three Irish players were competing last week in the $15,000 Great Britain F16 Futures at Cardiff Health & Rackets Club in Wales.
 
Men’s Doubles: King and McGee Win Finals

James McGee and Barry King defeated Tim Bradshaw (GBR) and Alexander Slabinsky (GBR) on a scoreline 6-4 7-6(3) in the finals of the mens doubles. McGee and King had a 6-1 0-6 [10-6] win over Daniel Evans (GBR) and Joshua Milton (GBR) in the semi finals to achieve their place in the finals.
 
McGee and King reached the quarterfinals of the Great Britain F15 Futures in Glasgow and the semifinals of the F30 Futures in Italy in September.

Men’s Singles

James McGee reached the quarter finals of the mens singles but lost 3-6 0-6 to Marcus Willis (GBR on Thursday. McGee is currently ranked 543 and came through the qualifiers stage before achieving his place in the main draw.

Barry King was defeated 7-5 6-3 by Daniel Evans (GBR) in the quarter finals of the mens singles and Conor Niland had to retire due to injury.
