James McGee, Conor Niland and Barry King are taking part in the Great Britain F16 Futures in Cardiff Health & Rackets Club in Wales this week.
 
James McGee received a bye in the first round of the men’s singles qualifiers and had a 6-1 6-1 over Francis Hazelwood (GBR) in the second round. He achieved his place in the main draw after Joe Salisbury (GBR) retired in the final stage of the qualifiers. McGee will play fellow Irish player, Conor Niland later on today in the first round of the men’s singles main draw.
 
Barry King will play Burnham Arlidge (GBR) in the first round of the men’s singles. Arlidge qualified for the main draw after successes in the qualifying stages. King who is currently ranked 622 is also taking part in the men’s doubles event partnering with McGee. They have progressed to the quarterfinals after receiving a bye in the first round. Their opponents will be decided later on today when Fares Ghasya (LBA) /Daniel Sidaway (GBR) play Andrew Fitzpatrick (GBR) / Dominic Ross-Hurst (GBR) in their first round game.
 
The US$15,000 Futures event will continue throughout the week with the finals taking place on Sunday 1st November.
