Thalassa Cup: Colin O’ Brien’s Results
Colin O’Brien reached the quarterfinals of the men’s singles in the Thalassa Cup in Heraklio, Greece. He lost 6-4 6-4 to A Falgheri (ITA) on Friday after defeating Slovakian, Kocevar-Desman in the second round on a scoreline 6-2 6-2.
O’Brien and Mathieu Guenat (SUI) played Alexander Sadecky (SUI) and Mikhail Vasiliev (RUS) in the finals of the doubles event on Friday afternoon and lost 7-6(2) 7-6(4). This was the third final for the no. 1 seeded duo in the past few weeks. Last week they were winners of the Paros Cup (Greece F3 Futures) after defeating Greek duo Gemouchidis and Glezos on a scoreline 6-7(1) 6-3 [10-3].
Daniel Glancy also competed in the doubles event this week reaching the quarterfinals with partner Burnham Arlidge (GBR).
