Louk Sorensen is progressing through the qualifying games of the Calabasas Pro Tennis Championships men’s singles taking place in Calabasas, USA. He has defeated Cedrik-Marcel Stebe (GER) 7-6(3) 6-7(5) 7-5 and had a 6-1 6-1 win over American wildcard Daniel Kosakowski. He will play Ti Chen (TPE) who is ranked 422 this morning.
 
Sorensen competed in the Royal Bank of Scotland Challenger in Tiburon, USA last week. Sorensen successfully came through the qualifying rounds defeating Australian James Lemke (6-4 6-0), American Tim Smyczek (6-4 6-1) and Lithuanian Ricardas Berankis (6-0 6-2) in order to gain his place in the main draw of the tournament. He eventually lost to American Michael Russell (ranked 91) on a scoreline 7-5 1-6 7-5 in the first round of the main draw.
 
The $50,000 Calabasas Pro Tennis Championships will continue until Sunday 25th October 2009.
