Louk Sorensen reaches final 32 in RBS Challenger, California

 

Louk Sorensen has reached the final 32 of the men’s singles of the $50,000 Royal Bank of Scotland Challenger which is taking place in California, USA.
He has come through the qualifying round defeating James Lemke (6-4 6-0), Tim Smyczek (6-4 6-1) and Ricardas Berankis (6-0 6-2) in order to gain his place in the final 32 of the tournament.

His next opponent is Michael Russell from USA who is seeded number 1 in the event. This game will take place on court number one later on today.
Twenty four year old Sorensen is currently ranked 352 and last week played the Natomas Men’s Professional Tennis Tournament in Sacramento where he progressed from the qualifying stages through to the final sixteen of the tournament.

The Royal Bank of Scotland Challenger event in Tiburon, California will continue throughout this week with the finals taking place on Sunday 18th October.
