01 Oct McGee and King in Doubles Semi Finals of Italy’s F30 Futures
James McGee and Barry King have advanced to the doubles semi finals of Italy’s F30 Futures on the ITF Men’s Circuit in Quartu S. Elena in Italy. They will play later on this afternoon against Spaniards, Burrieza-Lopez and Marti.
James McGee plays Massimo Capone (ITA) in the quarterfinals of at noon today (1st October 2009) having overcome Dutch player, Antal Van Der Duim (7-5 6-1) and Italian Federico Raffaelli (6-7(6) 6-0 6-2) in the earlier stages of the tournament. Barry King also competed in the singles tournament but failed to defeat Colombian, Cristian Rodriguez with a score 3-6 7-5 7-6(4).
Two other players in action overseas this week are Colin O’Brien and Daniel Glancy who took part in the Paros Open Cup in Greece. Daniel Glancy came through from the qualifying stages to face Kallias in the first round and O’Brien played DeGreef losing 6-1 6-2. Glancy also competed in the doubles and reached the quarter finals.
